Fine fairwell to the 2013 Seniors

Wow.  If you have stopped in lately, you might have assumed by my lack of entries that I have had a corresponding lack of shooting time.  Luckily, so untrue.

I am trying to get caught up!!!!

This spring flew by in a flash.  I have had as many sessions as I have been able to handle.  Between the seniors, families, some special events, and my own kids, I have fallen into the dark hole of blog neglect.  My honest apologies to the world wide web, I have admittedly been absent in the blogging world.

Trying to make a comeback…now that the spring fever is settling down, in between sessions I will be right here in this comfy computer chair, hanging out in the land of photoshop…

A glimpse at a few awesome seniors I had the privilege of hanging out with.  Love senior sessions.  There are many remarkable reasons that this time is so special for them, if only we could bottle their energy, expectations, their hopes for their brightly shining futures calling them…  Thanks to these terrific graduates for allowing me to share this time with them.

Gratitude also to your parents who are tearfully (or not?) helping you prepare for this next chapter of your life.  Best wishes!

Zachary’s big night

Fun evening with a great crowd of friends and family.  I do not typically shoot events, but make exceptions here and there for friends.   Everyone looked like they were having a terrific night, it so nice to witness an event where kids are celebrated as they adventure into the teenage years and then adulthood.  Watching their sentimental slideshow of him and his siblings growing up made my heart ache, to think of how fast the years are flying with my own kids.  It makes me want to photograph them every day, to hang onto these days forever…

Congratulations Zach and family, wishing you the best.

Run through beautiful Washington Crossing Historic Park and along the Delaware Tow Path for 1mile, 5K or 10K distances. In the middle of the loop where the General Green pavilion is located (start and finish line), there will be a host of tented sponsors, donors, and crafts, face-painting, glitter tattoos and other family fun. This event is for EVERYBODY from the serious runner, to the Sunday walkers, or just a fun place to go with your kids for some Earth Day FUN! The proceeds will be split with 50% going to the BDR Solar Schools Foundation (in honor of Julie’s brother BDR – Brian David Robertson), and the other 50% will go back to organizations within OUR community! Please join us in this event and share the fun. Enter the run on www.active.com. More details to follow!

Sweet baby love

Welcome to the world baby Grant.  This crew has grown to a family of five in a flash.  The older two kids are truly two of the cutest around, their smiles light up the room.  Luckily we caught a warm January day where we could sneak outside for a few shots.  Nothing beats the energy of young kids outside in natural light.

Awesome for me, when I catch some of these families from the beginning of their baby years.    I have the unique oppurtunity to document their journey.  It is amazing when you look back, how fast the years do fly, although I remember the pace when my kids were this age.  The days felt long at that point, especially during the winter months.  But then they are gone in a blink.   I just realized my oldest is now taller than me.  While he thought it was so cool, I was not sure if I wanted to smile or cry.

I am so thankful for photography, to be able to capture at least a few of these moments in time.

Thank you for a terrific year in 2012

Thank you to all of the fantastic families I have gotten to know along the way, while I have had the pleasure of exploring in this field of photography that I truly love.
Thank you especially to those of you who have been with me from the beginning, we have evolved together.   I have greatly enjoyed seeing your children from year to year, the bright and energetic toddlers who settle into their cool and confident later years…  My kids are growing alongside with yours, the time is flying by.
I will be spending these colder outdoor months re-grouping, learning and exploring (and hopefully getting more organized!) to continue to grow creatively. I have been very fortunate, my business has grown at a perfect slow and steady rate as my kids have merged into the school years.  My plan is to continue to learn, expand and find the highest quality product options to offer the best in family photography, artistry and design.  I hope to see you all again, and I look forward to greeting new smiles.
