JE Portraits Highlights of 2013

Wow, it was a busy year.

Every year at this time, I look back at the previous year, and I am so thankful for the way my little business has grown steadily.  I love that I have been able to share my passion for photography, capturing priceless moments for  families in all phases in their lives.  From the newborn settling into their family life during their first precious days… to the toddler with boundless energy exploring a new park… to the siblings laughing with each other into the teenage years… the parents intimate moments enjoying their growing families… to the cool and confident senior students about to journey into a new stage of their life… all the way to the grandparents who cherish the moments with the children of their children all together…  Every session has it’s own rhythm and character.  Whether we are in the heart of the parks of Bucks County, classic Princeton, the charm of Doylestown, Newtown, Lambertville, New Hope or at the beach…

Thanks for putting your trust in me.  I hope to see you again next year, to meet new friends and continue with this journey of photography.  I look forward to hearing from you.   Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!

This year… in Newtown

Luckily for me, I have photographed this family for the last few years.  The upside is we are all familiar with each other and have a groove going, the challenge is to keep finding different ideas for yearly clients to keep it interesting.  This year we strolled around Newtown, taking advantage of the textures and scenic backdrops of our cute town.  To share a few-

This was a really fun session.  I am always up for trying new ideas.  This mom contacted me about the images she had seen on Pinterest (huge fan of Pinterest here, if you have not seen my boards please visit!).  She wanted to a do a bedroom shoot.  No, not boudoir.  I promise, this is one photographer who you will never see dive into that arena, I do not care how trendy it is or if I am the last photographer in the US to be lacking a boudoir section in their portfolio.  Not gonna happen. Anyway, back to these guys… we did a fun shoot of her family in their pj’s cozying up in the comfort of their bedroom.  Then to mix it up, we hopped in the car to Peddler’s Village down the street for some outdoor images as the little miss explored the brick walkways with her fuzzy boots and loads of cuteness.  We got lucky with a warm December morning.

Do you think you have ideas as original as these?  Bring ‘em on…
